My Inspiration to Create TBlogger

The idea for this blog came to me during an admittedly not-completely-yet-deniably-not-too-often evening of mindless disengagement. I was watching reality TV, while playing solitaire online, while reading the latest newsfeeds on Facebook. - Insert eyes rolling here - I opened a FB invite to a party where different charitable or non-profit organizations would be providing information and soliciting volunteers. The invitation got me thinking about what I could be doing with my free time that was more meaningful than what I was doing now. On that specific night, the answer could have been almost anything. But upon some self reflection, I realized there are so many possibilities for action, the overwhelming feeling of having to make a choice led to my inaction. Anyone who has ever gone shoe shopping with me will tell you making one choice among many alternatives is not my strong suit.

If I am going to dedicate my time to something, I thought, it’s got to be something that is meaningful to me. And from that thought – Eureka! I decided to create a blog dedicated to exploring meaning. I want to delve into what people find meaningful in their lives and the meaning people take away from their actions. I am always tempted to examine things from a spiritual perspective and I hope to touch upon meaning from a cultural and religious side as well.

If anyone reading my blog feels inspired to write me with ideas or share your meaningful experiences, I would be thrilled.
